This collection of Harry Potter music is a favorite of many of my students. It is well written, & very melodic. Many collections of movie sountrack songs have one playble tune in them and the rest of the pieces are hardly recognizeable-not the case with this collection. Also, many of the pieces are actually quite challenging and can make good teaching material for private students.
The selections are inspiring and we have started watching each movie again as a result of hearing the songs on the clarinet. Mt 12 year old first year clarinet player says the songs are within his level and challenging, but not so hard he wants to give up trying. Good work, arrangers.
I bought this to encourage my son to keep practicing his clarinet. He had done pretty well with the school issued book but was losing enthusiasm. Having music to one of his favorite movies really rekindled his excitement. It is difficult for a beginner like him and I don't expect he'll master it for a good long while but he has fun and shows improvement.
Playing the music in this book brings me back to the first time I opened these books and started my adventure to the magical world of Harry Potter!
The book has most of the songs from all the Harry Potter movies and includes a disk w/ note chart
My daughter was thrilled to receive this book of music from some of her very favorite movies. She was also delighted to have the CD. I look forward to hearing the music soon.
Was a gift for my Granddaughter's 13th birthday. She plays clarinet. She was so happy and surprised. She LOVES it.
