Learn your scales! They are the alphabet for a musical instrument. I am a music teacher and every time a student works through this book they learn their scales so thoroughly they make All District band in my area. They also get used to reading rhythm patterns that show up in sight reading excerpts. Long tones are written out for each scale. Major and minor scales are covered with at least 3 pages for each scale. Extra things to work on are in the back. This is an inexpensive book and SO worth the money and the time spent on the contents. Great book.
Awesome scales book, I have to learn all 48 minor scales and this book really helps me. It does not include all of the scales but most of them which is helpful. A great book with plenty of exercises to help make sure you are learning the scales properly.
