I play oboe and English Horn and am always on the look out for church music. One of the Organists I play with reccommended the book in this series for oboe solos to me. I liked it and came looking for English Horn. since it is also an F instrument, I bought the French Horn book. I change octaves to play, but the music in this book is GREAT!. It is NOT for a beginner. I'd say a is a level 4-5 AND it requires an EXCELLENT accompanist. -- major work out for the piano.It does come with an excellent CD. There are performance tracks for listening to and playing with, and there are accompaniment tracks. The CD was created by the arranger Brant Adams on piano (excellent and alive playing) and the French Horn played by one of his friends - they are wonderful. I have the performance tracks on my MP3 for general listening.Excellent piece of church music literatrue
