As a professional guitar teacher I start all young beginners with this series. The Theory book provides a great way to reinforce the musical concepts introduced in the other volumes.
This book has games and fun exercises that younger students enjoy. It is the companion to the lesson book, and the books work well together. This was definitely designed with young guitarists in mind, in terms of both their interests and abilities.
Easy to read, goes along with the other two beginner books. Straight forward, recommend it for any new beginner at any age.
