This book assumes you have no experience in juggling and takes you up to being able to juggle three balls. It has an interesting section about the history of juggling. There is also bonus material that will you'll enjoy, but you'll have to check out the book to find out more about that.I especially like the color photos that clearly show you what to do; the photos display fine in grayscale on my older model Kindle, too. And of course a Kindle will stay open on the page you want, unlike a paperback book that can close itself when you don't have a free hand to hold it.
I picked this up on a lark, stuck at the airport. I bought some juggling balls and before I took off I could (sort of) juggle. This is just about the perfect juggling book: very straightforward, very understandable. Perfect.
I found the book informative with inside tips on how to juggle and entertain an audience of children, adults, teachers and senior citizens.
This book is outstanding and unique. Chris should be a school teacher to help people learn all subjects based on his process to teach people how to juggle in this book. This book provides outstanding advice (video and words) on the process to follow to ensure success. You can tell the author has taught kids and adults how to juggle for over a decade based on his excellent knowledge of the process. He uses this experience and knowledge to teach people to juggle or improve their current juggling skills. He has capitalized on his experiences teaching. He instructs you on the areas where most people get stuck. His recognition of where people face challenges learning to juggle, makes his instructions very powerful and unique. He explains the progress and instructs you how to break through these various hurdles where most people quit, which is what makes this book unique. I highly recommend this book to anyone that wants to learn to juggle. It helps guide you over the common hurdles which stop most people from learning. You can learn a lifetime skill for fun, exercise and impress others if that is what you want. You will be able to juggle by tomorrow, all for less than than the price of a bottle of water.
I enjoyed the no nonsense outline of the process of learning how to juggle. Very reasonably priced. I was a little bummed that some of the author's video course links are out of date but that is inevitable as time progresses. There were also a few glaring spelling and or grammar errors that detract slightly from the quality but for as cheaply priced as it was I am not complaining much.
I have always wanted to juggle throughout my life. This book is an easy read, well organized, is simply written yet keeps the reader interested. I was impressed not only with the step by step process and encouragement but by the juggling videos. Chris makes reading about juggling, from the history to the learning experience, an enjoyable read. He is a good teacher and I highly recommend this book for those wanting to pursue their interest in juggling. I always thought juggling required a natural ability, beyond my reach, but wanted an easy approach since I thought this was impossible for me. I now believe juggling is something I can achieve.
It used to be when I heard the word juggling all I could conjure up were the things in my life that I had to keep on top of: kids, husband, job, pets, parents, students. Juggling was all about stealing my time and energy.But no more. Chris Hughes has shown me why juggling should be a part of everyone's life.
