My 2 year old Grandson and I love this book about never giving up when a situation seems hopeless and nothing you try is working. Bob is stuck in a hole and Kate tries everything to get him out but keeps failing. Even when she has her brothers help they fail. But they remember what their mother always say about never giving up and you must keep trying. A passer by stops to help them and they fail at first but keep trying. It is a lesson in determination and never giving up hope. It also shows the strong bond of friendship the characters have. The illustrations a very nice and give toddlers something to focus on while you are reading the story. It is just a nice length for a 2-3 year old . Not too long that they loose interest. Cute rhyming story that we have personally read many many times.
This children's book is terrific! The writing is excellent and also is interestingly rhyming. The illustrations are well done and reflect the emotions of the characters. Kate and Bob are the cute turtles who are best friends. Bob gets stuck down in a muddy hole and can't crawl out. Even with help, they can't seem to get him out. This story depicts discouragement, helplessness, but also hope and dedication to a task which prompts Bob's friends to accomplish their mission. This author's stories for children always depict good values. Please note on the last page, Kate and Bob wear helmets while riding their bikes. Awesome author. Collect all her stories.
Very cute and well illustrated book. The author teaches a valuable lesson on teamwork and what having good friends is like in this delightful story that I think young ones will love to both read on their own and also have read to them. Great job on rhyming fun.
This is a very sweet book. My two year old sdx and eight year old loved it. My two year old daughter look at the cute pictures for two hours after we finished reading it. I would reccomend it to anyone who has kids and likes to read.
Lovely story about friendship.Show you that even if you are small and don't have enough strength, if you want to achieve something in life, there is always a solution of all kind of problems, if you only do what Kate mom's always said "Never give up".
