I got this book when I first joined band. It has simple songs like "Hot Cross Buns" to harder songs like "Ricochet Rock". It also has a list of all of your major scales in the backof the book. I recomend this to new saxophone players
This is an excellent book for beginners. I bought it used for a penny! There was a fair amount of writing inside but nothing in pen. Obviously used with creases, but that was expected. Still in good condition with no tears or loose pages. The books content is perfect for grasping necessary concepts of music. I look forward to my children using it.
My son needed this for school, first year of band. shopping on made getting this book for him so easy from t he comfort of home.
I imagine this is a book for those who play the saxophone in a band, which I do not. If it said it in the description, I clearly missed it. However, it does have a few cool warm up exercises in it, and for that reason, I will be keeping it!
This is the exact book my daughter needed for band. It came in very good shape and in the time that it said it would.
This item is cheaper in the store.I already know Saxophone, but it has been so long that I thought it would be nice to brush up. The only reason this is beneficial to me, is because I still have old sheet music. The music in the book isn't always recognizable to students, so it is nice to have an accompany.BUT IT WORKS AND WILL CONTINUE TO WORK. I used it 14 years ago, and I'm using it again. It is a great product.
This book was required by son's 5th grade music teacher. Cheaper here than buying through the school. It's easy for him to read. Pretty standard when it comes to a book, so not much to comment on.
It's a standard book and great for a music literate person picking up a new instrument. I don't have experience in teaching from it but for needs it served as a great sight-reading book.
