The book is a scholastic jewel. It reeks of informaton on music theory for anyone patient enough to go through any part of the book with awareness and intelligence. I am an experienced violist/violinist and am intimidated by this book. Fortunately my teacher explains the subtleties as we go along. I can feel myself increasingly able not only to understand the intricacies of the physical demands of the exercises, but to increase my comprehension of the relationships between keys.This book is not written for beginners

The condition of the book i recieved was very good. Its not heavy and cover is beautifulBut the notes are a bit blury. . . it is readable, but the print is definitly not top-quality.However, I got used to it after a while. . . But I would buy another one if I could go back in time!
