I was very disappointed in these books, (I bought book 1 and 2). To me the pages are too busy and crammed, and thus look daunting to a young student (I'm a cello teacher for 20 years).I also felt they progressed too quickly over the course of the book. I also didn't get the stickers that the student can use to track his/her progress. I'll take another look, but I don't think I'll use these books and will return them if not too late.
First of all, it is a very encouraging book for young people as it has a map in the back for mapping progress with stickers. It is not only our favorite but the favorite of 4 of the 5 teachers we have used. It really is a wonderful book. You are able to hear real songs right from the beginning so that there is definite motivation!
