I enjoyed the CD, and a little over a year ago I started learning to play the piano as an adult. I was a little apprehensive that this book would be over my head, but my piano teacher has already incorporated some of these songs into my "curriculum". The arrangements are a bit challenging for someone at my level of skill, but what saves me is that the tempo of these enchanting songs are slow enough that I can keep up. I am quite happy with this book.
This is a great music book. Anyone with two years of experience can play most of these beautiful songs. Enya is the queen of sharps and flats, and while five sharps in "Only Time" and three sharps in "Deora ar mo chroi" and five flats in "First of autumn" and "Fallen embers" may look scary, they are repetitive and muscle memory will carry you through. The songs "Day Without Rain" and "Pilgrim" are easy to play and easy on the ear. I am self-taught and have all eight Enya music books and this one is my favorite.
I love this book. I cannot read sheet music but only at the most basic level, but this book has the chords above the notes so I know the chords and can play these songs "by ear." Some chords can be complex for beginning players, but it is a great motivator to learn more and play these beautiful pieces.
I ordered this, because Enya makes beautiful music and Being a singer/songwriter, I wanted to expand my horizons with learning both the guitar and piano versions of this album. It's everything I expected and more! If you're a fan of Enya and a musical person I would highly recommend getting it.
Now, you too, can play the beautiful music of Enya. These beautiful tunes we all love from the CD may be your favorites to sing and hum as you go about your day. And, it's so much better to play them too on the Piano or Guitar.

Hi, Nice intermediate+ arrangements She has great music...sets a mood. I can only play a few of these..but it is still worth it to have in my opinion. Nice arrangements for the songs.
