The images and commentary of this book are educational, inspirational and beautiful to look at.Historical re-enactors will treausre not only the illustrations of garb, but the furniture, pagentry and entertainment ideas that will lend your hard work with documentable inspiration. What a great book at what a great price. The slides are so real, a great job, publishing at its best.
Last year, I went to the Metropolitan Museum for the Persian art gallery, and during the visit I came across a book named:” Masterpieces from the Department of Islamic Art in The Metropolitan Museum of Art”. That book had some good coverage of Met’s collection, however I wasn’t too impressed by its layout and stories. I was hoping to find an Islamic art book with bigger and nicer illustrations. Then I found this 20yr old book, and I really enjoy the rich content and beautiful prints.
