Has to be one of the best books I have purchased to show illumination of manuscripts. I would urge anyone to add this to their collection.

Okay..I am a collector and lover of art books. I own several and I just have to say that no one puts an art book together like the J. Paul Getty Museum. The quality of the color and clarity of the photographs of the artworks are of superior quality. The price for their books is always very reasonable and I am always impressed with each and every one of the the Getty books I own. The Illuminated Masterpieces book contains some of the museum's finest pieces. It includes a beautiful, high quality illustration on almost every page with a thorough, but not "overwhelming" explanation and history of each piece. The Illuminated Masterpieces are varied and come from a several places throughout Europe. For those interested in Illuminated Manuscripts, you will not be disappointed!

Ahhhh as everthing that represents art from the J Paul Getty Museum is extraordinary. Worth every penny..... I received it in excellent condition about 5 days after ordering. Excellent service.

A small book of a limited number of pages, showing repoductions of illuminated manuscripts over different eras in full colour.

Very nice presentation of illuminated works.
