I wasn't sure how much I'd like reading to him from my iPad, but it worked out great - and the story was wonderful. We enjoyed the rhyming and the illustrations really captured his eyes. I would recommend this to any parent and encourage them to keep it on their electronic devices to share with kids instead of "apps" for kids. Thank you!
I don't much care for children's eBooks.. but needed a book quickly, and it worked out well. My children and the three I was babysitting at the time loved it so much I had to read it to them three times. It has since become one of my children's favorite bedtime stories...
My child does not like reading. She selected this book because it sounded amusing to her and it got her to read. And it was amusing. For that I give it four stars. I cannot give it five as the lack of proper grammar (though meant to be a child's voice) does not help teach a child. There was a couple spots I stopped my child and asked "Now how would you fix that sentence?"
It looked cute but goes for cheap laughs, like boogers, nose hair, meatloaf that looks like poop. Not my family's cup of tea. At all. (Great illustration quality, as a side note)
Michael Yu creates great books for children. Easy to read and very colorful pictures and the storylines are great. My son love these books, he reads them but still makes me read them to him..they are lovely bedtime stories.
Consider it's use. Preview before purchasing. I'm not a fan of using bathroom words (poop), for multiple audiences. I was looking for books to use with my 2nd graders. That phrase may be okay at home, but not for my classroom.:
I love that this book has such wonderful rhymes. The pictures are cute and the story has elements of humor that kids really appreciate (what kid doesn't laugh at the mention of poop?). I like all of the Fatmoon books we've bought so far.
This Kindle Ebook is super cool! My kid is four, and he was so excited to ssee all the wonderful full color pictures. Of course I am the #1 MOM of dramatized reading so I am what really made this book BOSS! But,,, enough about my amazing and entertaining literary skills. This was a really fun read. Well worth it! I recommend reading it to your kids, ENTHUSIASTICALLY like you mean it! I mean I don't expect you to be as awsome as me at this but.... LOL #love2U
