Once again, Sandra Brown has outdid herself, with this captivating and well-written love story. After a many years of soul-searching and countless hours of pure research, Erin O'Shea can't hardly believe that she is about to meet her adoptive brother, Kenneth Lyman. Adopted herself as an infant, she is overwhelmed standing on his doorstep, suddenly anxious but ringing his doorbell, just the same. She keeps imagining what he must look like, is he tall or short, does he have her coloring, all these thought are going through her mind, when suddenly the door opens and she is confronted by one of the most handsomest men she ever laid eyes on. Is this him? He was very tall, in great shape with the most gorgeous blue eyes, in other words, he didn't look anything like her but she asked the question anyway. "Are you Kenneth Lyman?" When he nodded yes, she was so elated, finally she found her long-lost sibling. He let her come in, she sat down, to tell her story, and to answer all his questions. Showing no emotion at all, she was wondering why he was so cold to her?
