Well we all know how much Star Wars merchandise has hit the market since The Force Awakens came out last star wars 1month. There have been a number of great books come out, everything from the official novelization of the film to a handsome tome which covers the art and design of the blockbuster hit. And now here is another outstanding and very different book for Star Wars fan. Star Wars Art: A Poster collection is an oversized book that features 20 removable 11” x 16” prints which are, as the saying goes not only suitable, but designed for framing.The book runs the gamut of everything from the final painted poster art for Star Wars and the Empire Strikes back to original pieces. The art is produced by and incredible array of talent including Ralph McQuarrie, Philippe Druillet, Hugh Fleming, Roger Kastel, James Silvani, Brian Rood, and Mike Mignola.For truly dedicated Star Wars fans, you can decorate the walls of an entire room with these 20 fabulous prints. The prints are easily and quickly removable without tearing. They come on heavy card stock which makes the $20 price tag quite reasonable. A few of the prints have a white border that goes around them but most of them go right to the edge so you might want to use frames with thinner borders in order to preserve as much of the art as possible.It is an eclectic but beautiful collection of art. And you know you want it!
I was recently at Disneyworld and saw this set in their art gallery. The prints looked great, and they are on a nice thick quality paper. They are a bit of an odd size, but they still frame up very nicely with minimal effort. They separate from the binding easily so that there is very little risk of tearing. Great price, and a great product.
