Ebooks To Download

You're about to discover over 1,000 Spanish verbs exemplified in Spanish and English sentences. Learning a new language is never an easy task, but it doesn't have to be hard. By learning the 1,000 most-used verbs in a language, you give yourself a fantastic foundation to start building upon to your road to fluency. In my book, 1,000 Spanish Verbs in Context, I give you over 1,000 of the most common Spanish verbs used today. You are given the verb in Spanish and English with examples of the verb in a sentence, also in Spanish and English: No more confusion about how to use the verb. On thousand words is a perfect number to aim for. It is important to give yourself goals to stay motivated and to keep yourself learning. Imagine if you learned 10 words a day: five in the morning and five at night. After only 100 days (that's just over three months) you would have access to 1,000 verbs in your vocabulary. That really is quite a lot, and it would give you an excellent grasp of the language. Far too many people expect to be speaking a new language far too quickly without putting in the time or effort. As a language teacher, I can testify to seeing this too many times. I can also say that by exposing yourself to a new language daily, you will surely learn it. It does take time and effort, but 10 words a day will give you a massive boost. If you prefer a slower pace, then you could set yourself different goals. The key to learning new vocabulary is to see it in context - that means in use. Seeing how a word is used will help you remember it better. It is also important to understand how that word should be used in a sentence. As a free bonus I have included the top 100 most-used words in Spanish. Yes, I really want you to learn this beautiful language.

This book is a very good idea, but it is riddled with errors. Every page contains at least 2-3 errors. I will not speak to the Spanish, as I'm not a native Spanish speaker. It is the English translations that are troublesome. In many cases the wrong tense is used, in others the wrong meaning of the word is used. In still others the translations do not make sense or unnecessary words are inserted or words are left out. This could have been avoided by having a native English speaker proof read the book. Below are a couple of examples:The mother hugs to all her children. Should be, the mother hugs all her children. The baby fell asleep as soon as he go to bed. Should be, the baby fell asleep as soon as he went to bed.The rabbit ahead of the tortoise. Should be, the rabbit is ahead of the tortoise.Elena is thinning because she is on a diet. Should be, Elena is getting (becoming) thin because she is on a diet.Unfortunately these are not all or the worst errors, just examples.Although this book is meant for sentence practice for English speakers, my Spanish speaking friend and I use these types of books to study together. This does not work if you do not understand English. I would respectfully ask the author to have this book carefully proof read by a native English speaker, as most of the errors are common errors made by Spanish speakers of English. I would be more than happy to re-rate the book.

This book is packed with Spanish verbs in context and is a great resource for teaching myself Spanish. I took 3 years of Spanish in high school and wish I would have had a book like this. It starts off with over a thousand verbs used in context, then gives you a huge list of Spanish verbs with the English translation. There's also a bonus section at the back with the top 100 used words in Spanish like haber, su, cuando, and more. I took several years of Spanish in high school but always had trouble with verbs. This made more sense to me than my teacher ever did. Too bad I didn't have it back then, but at least I've got it now. We're planning a trip to Costa Rica this fall and this is going to be a huge help in getting my Spanish back up to speed.

Great book. I took Spanish in high school and would have found this book helpful back then. It also had a list of the most used words in Spanish, which is really helpful. Great resource for traveling. Recommend.

I would love to see this in a expanded version with all verb tenses. More verbs and more sentence samples. This is a good start at a good price. The English is sometimes awkward, but the Spanish seems correct. The author must be a Spanish speaker. Thanks for a useful book!
