I purchased several trombone duet books for use in bassoon lessons and casual performance, mostly Belwin Master Duets and Rubank, and have been pleased by all purchases. The duets in this Rubank series are mostly entertaining and vary in style from duet to duet. The quality consistency is good with few misprints. Best feature is the amount of duets you get for what you pay.While the print is fairly small, one still has to turn pages in the middle of pieces from time to time. For this reason it is advisable to pick up two copies if these are to be used for performance.
Our son's outstanding band teacher loaned him this book to play duets with a fellow trombonist in the band. He liked the arrangements very much so I bought him his own personal copy when it was time to return the teacher's book.
Another great collection of accessible repertoire. Heaps more great excuses to get the horn out and play with my son.
Great for more experienced players.
