There are quite a variety of tunes in this book to keep all levels of uke players busy! I opened it and was tickled to see a tune ("Britches in Stitches") that my son learned to play on a tin whistle in an Irish music class. Now I can accompany him with my ukulele. I was also glad to see some Clawhammer style instruction included in this book. I like that there's no CD to deal with...just an easy-to-use link and code for the Hal Leonard site, where you can download all the tunes. Great book to add to your ukulele instruction book collection.
Really love this one! I play cover to cover a couple of times each week. Cake walk is fantastic -- actually easier to play than it sounds. I've yet to keep up with the speed on the recordings, but I'll get there.
Took it to our weekly monday night mixed musical strum. All agreed it is a great fit for our mix.
Great little guide to old time, clawhammer, and other older music. I particularly like the references to the early musicians and bands.
