So, a little background information.... I've been playing guitar for about a year, and recently decided I wanted to learn to play ukulele. So, I went to my local music store, picked and picked one out, and then I looked at their selection of music books for ukulele. I saw a lot of learning style books that were geared towards absolute beginners, but I've been playing violin for five years, and piano and guitar for about a year and a half, so I didn't want something like that. I picked this book because it had a lot of popular songs (which I don't necessarily all like, but friends of mine do, so it's fun to all sing together) and this book was great :) All of the notes are very accurate, and it's easy to read. I was playing almost all of the songs in under half an hour. The only down side is that it doesn't give you any strumming or rhythm patterns for the ukulele. To me, it wasn't a big deal, but other people, who haven't been playing music as long may get a little frustrated with that. Overall, it's a great beginner book, that was definitely worth the price.
One of two books I purchased with my Uke on . I'm a guitar player and love to piddle around with new things. This helped me pick up the uke right away and start playing modern songs that I new. Has chord diagrams and music. very easy to play.
