Get one for every woman in your life. Real talk, real life, real advice. I'm a board certified marital and family law attorney. The main causes of divorce are finances and the life and emotional issues around money. It amazes me how many women delegate their finances, and the resultant power and security of their lives, children and dreams to someone else. Excellent and insightful read. Carry really hits on points that are not tipcal investment advice but after reading her her book, The Money Queen you should always consider before investing and fimacial planning.

A total page turner. Carbonaro bravely starts the book by sharing her compelling personal story, and from there it only gets more fascinating. Her journey is first heartbreaking, then inspiring. From there she takes readers on a well thought out plan to avoid the mistakes she made early in life, and thrive through every decade of their own financial experiences. The advice is both specific and universal. This is a great first read for someone just starting to pay attention to their money, and a complimentary book for those who read a lot of personal finance books. Put this one on your bookshelf so you can come back to it over and over!
Investment books are chalked full of facts and figures, which mostly lead to extreme sleepiness. The Money Queen, though, is nothing like this. As a 40'something yo woman I've been through a lot of different situations and she pretty much nails each one. It ties the struggles of every women to the financial consequences those situations can produce. But it doesn't stop there. The author provides a wonderful, engaging, and endearing story to the SOLUTIONS that are available.Some books are focused on just one segment of the readership, but what I enjoyed most about this book is that it has chapters for each decade of a woman's life and how to approach the most common scenarios within this time period of your life.This is a short read so take an afternoon to get more in tuned with something that you can control and improve--YOUR financial life!!
FINALLY, a contemporary and sassy, practical financial guide that is written for today's modern woman!!! Cary's book is a 'diamond in the rough' ladies. First off, it's easy to read. No decoding of financial jargon and gobbledygook within these well-written and concise 144 pages. Secondly, the chapters contain actionable advice for every decade of your life with great titles like, "Your Roaring 20's: The Journey Begins and Your Fabulous 50's: Avoiding Landmines." The information in these sections are useful, especially for that sandwich generation mom who is caring for her parents while supporting her own children and wants to make sure all the women in her life is doing the right things financially. Last and most importantly, is the fact that this book is written by a practicing female CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PROFESSIONAL TM who currently deals with her own clients on the front lines, understanding all aspects of financial planning, and how good decision making positively impacts a woman's life. The anecdotes are visceral, personal and very real. Overall, the book is empowering and gives all women a leg up on building wealth and banishing fear. Bravo!
Teaching women about money is probably one of the most important issues we face currently. Cary does a wonderful job introducing the financial world through the lense of a woman. There is nothing wrong with being a designer bag lady just make sure you have the designer stocks to finance it. Not only is this book helpful it's also extremely fun to read. I plan of giving it as a gift to all my female friends.
Cary has really out done herself with the Money Queen's Guide book. I have read it 3 times and will be sharing all of this wonderful financial knowledge with my children. I think and feel that every parent needs to share financial information to their children especially their daughters because we love a great bag but may not have money inside or the knowledge on how to keep money. I literally can't wait to read more of Cary's books. This one was very easy to read and every single Money Queen Fact was on point! Great job Cary!
