I have been looking for a duet book for my younger brother and I to play in church. My brother's piano level is early intermediate, and my level is advanced. Apparently, nobody makes books for those two levels to play together, so I was either stuck with a book meant for two intermediates, or a book meant for a very advanced teacher and an elementary student. Not wishing to insult my brother, I opted for this option :) It has been fairly good, although for me it is a bit too easy. My part is pretty much all octaves, and that gets a little boring. But I am looking forward to be able to play with my brother in church!
This is an excellent book for use as an alternative for church offertories. The pieces are beautiful and well written, yet simple enough to master in short-time, and more than appropriate for sanctuary use.
The music is ok, I was looking for something more interesting to play. I don't consider myself to be an advanced player, but this is quite simple.
I like this book because it is for 2 people which is hard to come by and the songs sound pretty good, but they are writtent for late beginner early intermediate.
This is a wonderful intermediate-level duet book. Do-able but not babyish, with some nice harmonic and melodic twists. My piano students and I have enjoyed this book a lot.
Simple, but very nice arrangements. Easy enough to play with an intermediate piano student
