Included are the exact sheet music used in the songs in the CDs. Another reviewer said that what is contained is different, but please know that that is not true.Very good! I would highly recommend buying this. The songs are beautiful and not hard to play at all.
I bought this because the description said piano vocal chords and I wanted to play piano versions of Secret Garden songs. This book only has piano accompaniment scores, not solo piano pieces.
I fell in love with Secret Garden after purchasing their first CD and the affair continues. When I spotted this collection for piano/violin I decided that even more poor skills in the piano couldn't overshadow the soul-stirring music and I was right. While some might find it difficult because the violin accompanist maintains the melody quite a bit, with a bit of adjustment you can have the piano keep the leads in most songs.I am thrilled to be able to sit and stumble my way through such beautiful tunes. If you enjoy their CD's you will love owning this collection!
The violin carries the melody above the piano accompaniment in most of these songs. They are NOT transcriptions for solo piano. The arrangements are excellent if you wish to play with another musician on a separate instrument capable of playing a descant.
So happy to have this music that I can play on my piano. Enjoy listening to it on CD and been wanting to be able to play it myself. The music is not too difficult to play...and I can enjoy the melodies on my own piano. If you like Secret Garden and have a piano...this book is for you.
Having looked through this music, I can't wait to start learning to play it. I plan to download some of the songs (from , of course!) to play along with eventually. Unfortunately, I've injured my left shoulder and twisting it to play the violin is still painful. Hopefully in a few weeks. I've played the violin for 4 years and this music is a combination of stuff I will know and stuff that will challenge....a perfect blend to keep me interested.
I love the Secret Garden when I first heard these tracks hanging art on the wall. As a musician, I love to hear other musician's work as well. Now, I play these any chance I get thanks to this book. Piano, guitar, and violin lead sheet chords are very helpful here.
