Kids SEE the letters, but importantly EXPERIENCE the letters through distinctive letter shapes and sounds. Pictures are exceptional! They are large and colorful, and they show little children from various cultures physically moving through the alaphabet A-Z using their own inventive song and dance. As a teacher of little ones, I find the book provides a great way for kids to actually experience early language development through sight, sound, space and shape. It's a unique way to teach and learn. I find it useful for PreK through elementary grades depending on the child's cognitive, physical, and emotional development.
An ecxellent resource for teachers and parents -- and loads of fun for kids. Benzwie uses movement, song and rhyme to teach young children the alaphabet. Children can instinctively create, perform, and respond to language through movement which builds strong pathways to learning. Easy and fun to use at home or in play groups, early childhood programs, nursery schools, or elementary education classrooms. Kids learn better through movement and kinesthetic learning. Highly Recomended!
An excellent book. Students loved creating a letter with their body. I wanted to create a quilt of each letter and student but I need to ask for permission first.
