Easy to follow I use my computer to view the pages from my Kindle foe Windows 7 and I can adjust the Font to any size I need as well as changing the page color if I like. I have been using this handy little book for sometime now and it has some very good songs.
Everyone knows these songs. They're familiar folk classics that we've all grown up with. The music contains chord charts for each song, and the placement of the chord changes for playing each song. Unfortunately, the way that I hear the chord changes is earlier than where the written music places the chord changes. Knowing that, I'm able to play and enjoy this collection.
I purchased this Kindle book is the way for me to practice my ukulele and my chords. It is proven to be very beneficial. It is for beginners and for those who have been away from the instrument a while. Have fun it's A great book!
Only pity is that in a few of the songs the chords are not represented above ( whilst it is in the song) - but really a great compilation of easy to use songs
I expected more folk songs, as advertised. There were repeats, and most songs, if not all, could be acquired from any ukulele club for free. For .99 I'm not sure it's a big deal, but still no great bargain, and not folk.
If you are looking for a good uke song book then look elsewhere. The book lacks specific ukulele information, the songs are incomplete, and the chords are not always placed correctly. OK, examining each of my complaints...-- Ukulele information: Strum patterns are not indicated or suggested. To the author's credit each song contains chord forms.-- Incomplete songs: Most songs give only one or two verses and the chorus omitting many verses. There is no time signature, strum pattern, or rhythm given. Also missing are the author, song heritage, and/or publication dates which are easily available and should be included.-- Chord placement: Most songs start without a chord listed, the first chord indication is part way through the line. Does this chord apply to the first of the line or starting here? If it starts where indicated, what is the first chord? To me some chords appear in the wrong place or may be an incorrect chord.
Not bad, but some of the cord diagrams are missing. Easy enough to find, though. I also noticed that one song, Delila, was repeated in Book 2. In all, a good value for the money.
This is my favorite collection. I like the majority of the arrangements. Too many songs in books for ukuleles seem to be off-key to me. Not these.
