This was purchased for my sons music class. It works ok but the new versions are so much more interesting for the kids. I think the teachers need to upgrade and just buy the teacher edition so that the young musicians have more fun. Don't get me wrong, this will teach them but the new versions have some new and improved techniques.
Daughter uses this in band class and loves it.
