As a media specialist, I have thoroughly enjoyed using SHOES with my first graders and kindergarteners. The children love to take off their shoes and wiggle those toes. They also enjoy anticipating the next page. This book is a must for any elementary library and for the home.
My Grandson's teacher uses this book in her kindergarten class while working on a unit to help the children learn to tie their shoes. Her copy was well worn. I was thrilled to find this like new copy to give to her to replace the worn one. The book arrived quickly and in excellent condition.
My toddler loves this book- I point out in the pictures what I am reading, and he loves the rhyming- it's become the book that we read over and over again. I like that its a Reading Rainbow Book- I remember Reading Rainbow from when I was a kid and LOVED the show and the encouragement of reading.
If you don't have this book on your children's bookshelf, you definitely should. It has a great theme and prose for reading aloud with your kids.
Our 2 year old has loved this book for a long time now. The text is very cute and the artwork is just beautiful. Highly reccomended.
My Grandson likes it and reads it by himself, but it's more fun for him with mom or gram. Beautiful pictures!!!
