All the ingredients needed for an edge of the seat adventure. Kids will likely love this book, it’s got everything, even a cliff hanger ending.This could use some editing on structure and some of the missing or misplaced words. This is supposed to be Brian’s Diary, but multiple entries while under siege makes it a bit lame. The conversation between characters is very stilted, overall the structure of this book is very poor.4 stars for story, 1 lost for lack of structural integrity.
An amazing and interesting story. Brian, was a simple farmer living a peaceful life with his bold and more adventurous brother, Steve, when a hoard of zombies descended on them and changed their lives forever. The story starts with Brian writing in his journal about how his world was turned upside down on the day they were attacked by zombies and found the Diamond map. I loved the adventure that the brothers got into when they defended their farm and fighting the zombies. The story was being recorded by Brian in his journal, complete with drawings! I can't wait for the next part of their adventure.
