I have been following what Rachel Goldstein (the author of this book) has been creating online for quite some time now.A 32-year old kid-at-heart, occasionally, I peak in on her Facebook page called 'Drawing for Kids' (You should LIKE it!), as well as, her YouTube channel called 'drawinghowtodraw' (You should SUBSCRIBE!). Her Facebook page, and YouTube channel, are really hidden gems of the online world, and this book takes the value she has already been creating and sharing on those respective platforms to another level--offering her audience a great opportunity to experience her work in the form of a more physical product that you can actually hold in your hands and interact with (I purchased the paperback version, personally, but it looks like you can also purchase a Kindle version and print it off, as well).To support this creator, I would definitely recommend you purchase the paperback version of this book, if you are able to!Now just 3-years old, my son is becoming particularly interested in coloring--and, although he hasn't quite progressed beyond simply working hard to color between the lines, I had purchased this book in anticipation for when he advances beyond the coloring stage....which it seems like he is rapidly approaching. When that occurs, I anticipate that Rachel's YouTube channel, Facebook page, and book(s) will be our 'go-to' resources for teaching and guiding him through how to draw utilizing the very creative approach embraced in this book.From what I can see now, and as evidenced by the great YouTube video(s) Rachel produces, this looks like one really great resource that parents should absolutely consider purchasing, especially if they have children who are beginning to take an interest in drawing.
