When I took up jazz piano five years ago, the The Real Book - Volume I - Sixth Edition - C Edition - CD-ROM Sheet Music was, of necessity, one of the first books I purchased. I started working through the old standards, new classics, ballads, bops, and blues, and although I'd only scratched the surface of learning the songs and building my repertoire, I wanted more. After buying the The Real Book - Volume II (C Instruments): C Instruments 2nd Edition (Fake Book), I was happy again to be working on another cadre of tunes and broadening my repertoire even further. It was about at that point when I would hear something at a concert or on the radio, that I would think, man I'd like to be able to play that, but couldn't find it in the 800 some songs in my two books. Well, maybe if I buy Volume 3 (I thought), it will have those tunes in it, and as before, Hal Leonard The Real Book Volume III - Second Edition - CD-ROM gave me a lot of new material to work on.
