This collection is definitely for the advanced intermediate or advanced player. With many pieces having more than 3 sharps or flats, and with notes going well above the treble and below the base clefs, it would be wise to have either a certain skill level in sight reading or the time and patience for figuring out the notation. The classical pieces are easier, in my opinion, than the more modern ones, but that may be due to greater familiarity with the works. NOT a book for the beginning pianist, though the vocal pieces shouldn't give singers too much trouble.My one complaint is that this collection has too high a proportion of songs from The Corpse Bride (4 of 27 selections--the next highest number is 2 from A Nightmare Before Christmas). Otherwise, there is a good mixture of songs from films, pop music, and the classics.
