This is another book of this very popular book series for beginners and intermediate piano playing students . Being an older piano student , I appreciate some of the most popular songs from the first half of the twentieth century. The selection of songs in this book favors Gershwin , a choice that I have no qualm about
Love this book! Inspiring and lots of fun to play. Classics from cover to cover. Because it's just the basic structure, it leaves lots of room for a beginner to improvise. Very entertaining to play this way. Carnegie Hall can wait!
All the great early Jazz songs that I always wanted to play, and they're in the easy to learn Key of C. If you like the Gershwins, Cole Porter, Mercer and a host of others then this is the book for you. Can't put it down.
This music is pretty easy to play, I am learning jazz guitar and play it, but my guitar instructor is actually changing the chords to make it more challenging and interesting to listen to, sometimes the same chord is played for 2 full measures, and the chords are pretty simple chords as well. But this book does what it says it will do.
I play improv piano, and this is a good old jazz collection. I wish it wasn't all in the key of C, but with poor eyesight the large print makes it very easy to use and I love the choice of songs.
A definite good solid collection of tunes. I have several sources of scribed music - the most popular modern format is probably the mobile app for tablets. For quickly dialing up a tune these are wonderful. This is where this Kindle format comes undone. I find the text very small, impractically so in fact. Attempting to share the screen between 2 of us was impossible as at distance no one could make out the writing!
