Excellent music book. Very easy to use, but you can also add alot with the melody. Just let yourfingures go and your imagination run wild. As these books are written in the key of Cso you can play one song right after another for a nice medley. The joy of these books is youhave great songs that everyone knows, and you can just sit right down and play, andhave a great time. I give this fake book series a 5 star rating.
This series of books is excellent! They are fine for a beginner, intermediate, or advanced student. You can take the basic arrangements and add to them as much as you like. The "C" keys add to the simplicity give a beginner a sense of "wow I did that!" Keep up the good work. I recommended this to my Organ Master and He liked ALL of the books in the series.In this book I did not like the selections quite as much as other "show/movie" type books
This fake book has a great selection and excellent arrangements. The chord progressions seem slightly more complex than the ones in some of the easier books in this series (eg., Your First Fake Book), so I save it for a little later in my students' studies. In this volume, as in the others, the teacher may occasionally wish to add a chord or two to any given song to gain even more musicality. Highly recommended.
The Easy Fake book series is the best invention ever! I'm a piano teacher and this series is invaluable to my students. This particular book, Showtunes, is great for those teenagers and adults that need to be motivated. I'm buying it to add to my growing collection of Easy Fake Books. If you want to play these songs in another key, use a keyboard and transpose! Otherwise, they are a great learning tool to learn to "fake" on the piano and sound like you are a more advanced player because the songs are all in the key of C and easy to play.
