Undercover Jihadi: Inside The Toronto 18 - Al Qaeda Inspired, Homegrown Terrorism In The West
Ebooks To Download

Mubin Shaikh was born and raised in Toronto, Canada amidst twenty-first century, Western values. He attended public school. But at night, his parents insisted he also attend Islamic madrasa. Mubin joined the Canadian Army Cadets, used drugs, had sex and partied just like the other kids. He fit right in - until he didn't. Going through an acute identity crisis at age nineteen, Mubin recommitted himself to Islam. But a chance encounter with the Taliban in Pakistan and then exposure to Canadian extremists took him down the militant jihadi path. Mubin initially celebrated the 9-11 attacks, although he found the killing of innocent civilians in the name of Islam disturbing. 9-11 prompted him to travel again, to Syria-to become involved in the "great jihad"-the Muslim version of the final apocalypse in "the land of Sham and the Two Rivers." There he learned the truth of his religion and faced a fork in the road. Mubin went back in-but this time working undercover with the Canadian Security Intelligence Service and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Ultimately joining the "Toronto 18", Mubin walked a tightrope between Western culture and Islamic jihad. Risking everything, he gathered inside information about the group's plans for catastrophic terror attacks-to detonate truck bombs around the city of Toronto, behead the Prime Minister, and storm the Parliament Building in retaliation for Western intervention in Muslim lands. Their cadres included Americans who had similar ideas for Washington, D.C. Mubin Shaikh is one of the very few people in the world to have actually been undercover in a homegrown terror cell. His is a story of growing up Muslim in an age where militant jihad is glorified, of being caught between two identities and finally emerging victorious.

Well written and amazingly interesting. Mubin has been a key player in the Toronto18 events and clearly demonstrate his love for Canada. A true Canadian hero.

This was so interesting to read what goes on behind the scenes in a terrorist cell.It also was so sad to see so many young people drawn into this type of lifestyle. For a person who listens to the news in everyday America it is a shock this kind of thing could be going on anywhere.I plan on buying three books for my friends for Christmas to open their eyes on this subject.

Mubin Shaikh writes as eloquently as he speaks. I enjoyed reading this book. There is very little written on this subject from behind the curtain. If you want to understand radicalism undercover jihadi is the place to start. The book would make a thrilling movie.

This book was a captivating page turner. Mubine is a Canadian asset whose expertise in radicalized Jihadis couldn't be more timely.

Very pertinent read for better understanding of what is going on so close to "home" . . .

Really liked this book and have recommended it to many. Even contacted my Sate Senator regarding sleeper cells in IN. He was very responsive and informative. This book will get your head out of the sand regarding terrorism.

If you've ever once wondered what goes into the making of terrorist, you'll be endlessly fascinated by this gripping story. Wonderfully written and expertly analyzed.

Great read from someone with an incredible story who remains active in the fight on terror. The author provides unprecedented insight into the mind and world of Islamic extremists from someone whose personal odyssey plunged him into the terrifying battlefield of indoctrination and radicalization. Shaikh not only survived, but emerged with renewed faith in the true meaning of his religion and became an invaluable asset and secret weapon against those bent on Jihad.
